Job Description

We are looking for an IT Architect (m/f/d) for the „IT Management“ team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will manage IT architecture for the city, focusing on applications, data, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT service providers, security officers, and relevant partners to develop an architecture strategy that meets the needs of the city of Wiesbaden.
  • Create standards, guidelines, processes, and roles for effective architecture management.
  • Develop solutions for cross-IT applications with departments and service providers, and initiate and lead relevant projects.

Your Profile:

  • A degree qualifying you for higher-level service in general administration or a related field (preferably IT-related), such as a university diploma or master’s degree.
  • Extensive experience in IT management, with a focus on IT architecture models.
  • Strong knowledge in IT operations/management, especially infrastructure, and experience developing and implementing architectural concepts.
  • Familiarity with modern methodologies like ITIL, agile project management (Scrum), or TOGAF.
  • Experience in project management and service provider management.
  • Confident in customer and supplier interactions, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and take responsibility within a team, bringing creativity and analytical thinking.
